Lahaina Plantation Days will celebrate its finale with a full slate of Maui’s favorite entertainers on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17. Event hours are 5 to 10:30 pm on both days. Access to the Pioneer Mill Co. Smokestack Exhibit area is easy with plenty of free off-site parking.
On Friday, enjoy hula and mele by Lahaina-Honolua Senior Citizens Club followed by the rising star talent and beautiful harmonies of Ikaika Blackburn & Leohone (featuring Pi‘ilani Arias and Kamakoa Lindsey Asing). This Hawaiian musical trio will be followed by the Ekolu Trio, a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning Jawaiian group. Headlining the stage is the one and only, multiple award-winning entertainer, Willie K.
Saturday’s entertainment line-up will open with Maui’s exciting youth group, Zenshin Daiko drummers. Versatile vocalist, stage and recording artist, Amy Hānaiali‘i will follow. Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winner and kumu hula, Nāpua Greig will perform next with her hālau. Hawai‘i’s legendary songstress, Melveen Leed will close the evening.
“The community response and outpouring of support for this event was more than we could ever have imagined,” said Theo Morrison, executive director of Lahaina Restoration Foundation. “Through this event, we helped bring together kama‘aina families and visitors to celebrate this memorable era that has defined so many of us. We invite everyone to join us!”
