Maui’s own Kaleo Phillips joins us for this month’s “Hawaiian Music Series”, Thurs., June 28, 6–7:30 pm. Perfectly staged on the front lawn of the Baldwin Home Museum on the corner of Dickenson and Front Streets, this is the ideal spot to enjoy Hawaiian music.

Born and raised in Lahaina, Maui, Jason Kaleonalani Phillips, affectionately known as Kaleo, has been a figure in the Maui music scene for over 30 years. Coming from a musical family background, Kaleo has been blessed to flourish in music playing professionally with a variety of Hawaiian music artists and touring with bands across the globe. In 2004, Kaleo, along with Josh Kahula and Pi‘ilani Arias, formed the trio Pono and released a debut album, Home of Mine, which was received with rave reviews.

Now in its 10th year, the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the County of Maui Office of Economic Development sponsor the “Hawaiian Music Series”. The success of this program is due to residents and visitors who support Hawaiian culture and arts in Lahaina Town through their attendance, appreciation and donations.
